# Installation

Requirements and setup for ALT0 Dispatch.

## Requirements

| Resource                                                     | Notes                                                                                                       |
| ------------------------------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Qbox (`qbx_core`), QBCore (`qb-core`) or ESX (`es_extended`) | Found automatically, or set `Config.Framework`. See [Frameworks](/alt0-docs/getting-started/frameworks.md). |
| [ox\_lib](https://github.com/overextended/ox_lib)            | Required                                                                                                    |

Optional, detected automatically:

| Resource      | What it adds                                           |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| `alt0-mdt` | Calls show on the MDT dashboard and live map |
| `alt0-notify` | Used for notifications when it runs, otherwise ox\_lib |

## 1. Remove other dispatch scripts

ALT0 Dispatch answers for scripts that call `ps-dispatch` or `nn_dispatch`. Remove any other resource with those names first.

## 2. Add the resource

```cfg
ensure ox_lib
ensure qbx_core        # or qb-core / es_extended
ensure alt0-dispatch
ensure alt0-mdt        # optional, after dispatch
```

No database is needed.

## 3. Check the jobs

Open `config.lua` and make sure your police, sheriff and EMS job names are in `Config.PoliceJobs`, `Config.CityPoliceJobs`, `Config.SheriffJobs` and `Config.MedicJobs`. Jobs of type `leo` and `ems` also count. See [Configuration](/alt0-docs/alt0-dispatch/configuration.md).

## Test it

On duty as police or EMS, run `/testdispatch` to preview the alert cards. `/testdispatch live` sends a real test call.
