# Overview

Wi-Fi across the map. Signal by distance, secured networks to hack, mobile hotspots. Comes with ALT0 Boosting.

Networks have a place, a range, a speed and a security level, spread across the city. Signal falls off as you walk away. Secured networks take a passkey or a hack, and a Signal Amplifier turns a network into a hotspot that follows you.

It ships with [ALT0 Boosting](/alt0-docs/alt0-boosting/boosting.md) and runs on any framework, or standalone, with ox\_lib.

## Features

* **Signal you can walk out of.** The closer you stand, the stronger the signal and the faster it runs.
* **Connect from the boosting tablet.** The network manager lists every network in range with its signal, speed and security. Open networks connect straight away; secured ones need a passkey or a hack. Walk out of range and the connection drops.
* **Crack secured networks** with a SignalJacker. The encryption level, from 1 to 5, sets how many layers stand in the way, and each layer is a timed minigame. Fail and you wait out a cooldown.
* **Wrong passkeys** lock the player out of that network for a while.
* **Mobile hotspots:** a Signal Amplifier turns a nearby network into a hotspot that follows you.
* **Boosters, jammers and sniffers** that change a network's range for a while, checked in range by the server.
* **Exports** so other scripts can read the networks around a player and check who has really connected.
